Steve Krawciw [kro:sew], CEO, Head of Strategy and Institutional Sales
Mr. Krawciw brings twenty years of experience in finance, wealth management, private banking and management consulting. He heads sales and sales strategy. Concurrently, Mr. Krawciw serves as Trustee of Southampton Historical Museum in the Village of Southampton, New York.
Prior to joining ABLE, Mr. Krawciw was Director of Private Banking at Credit Suisse AG, where he successfully conceptualized and launched several high-profile initiatives, including the non-FDIC term deposit program that brought in over U.S. $200 Million in new assets under management to the bank, the third-party FDIC deposit sweep program that resulted in over U.S. $2 Billion in new assets under management in the first 3 months after the launch, the feasibility stage of the hedge-fund feeder program, an enhanced platform for structured products, and enabled the distribution of futures for private banking clients, and created and led the now ultra-successful hedge-fund feeder program through the feasibility stage. During his tenure at Credit Suisse, Mr. Krawciw has also successfully completed the end-to-end review of the family office at Credit Suisse, and was responsible for corporate development initiatives such as screening acquisitions and managing the budgeting for technology and the expense management program , saving the firm nearly U.S. $50 million per annum.
Prior to Credit Suisse, Mr. Krawciw led prominent initiatives at CIBC Wealth Management. Earlier, Mr. Krawciw advised executives of Fortune 500 corporations at McKinsey & Co., and, as Case Team Leader at Monitor & Co., successfully advised heads of governments, executives of major commodity producers and other entities on their strategy.
Mr. Krawciw holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BComm in Finance from the University of Calgary. He is the author of many industry publications and a co-author of Quant Investor Almanac 2011 (Wiley). Mr. Krawciw is an avid skier, sailor, marathon runner, golfer, tennis player and world traveler. He is a recipient of the Duke of Edinburgh’s gold award.
